Does the Nyko Universal Drum Pedal work with the Ion Drum Rocker?
So, this "Expert Plus" mode on Guitar Hero: Metallica is just a tit bit too fast for my right foot alone, so I need a double bass. I did some research and found that a normal splitter (two plugs into one plug adapter) doesn't work well (If at all). Since I don't have a lot of money (and who does these days?) another Rocker U is kind of out of the question now. I came across the "Universal Drum Pedal" made by Nyko, but there isn't very much information about it.
So I was wondering if said Universal Drum Pedal works with the Ion Drum Rocker. If so, I'd also like to know if it comes with a splitter. Also, if it DOES work, and it DOES come with a splitter, I'd like to know what your opinion of it is. Does it work well? Does it feel like the Ion's foot pedal?
Sorry for the flood of questions, but I really want to know (very soon) if it would be worth buying. Thanks in advance!
Answer:
no its not worth it, i tryed using my friends, no such luck. the double foot pedal that is made for the game is the only one that will work, they designed it so it would be this way.

The Roland TD9 V Drum Electronic Drum Set Review
What is so special about the Roland TD-9 Electronic Drum Set?
Roland has outdone itself this time with the Roland TD9 mid level kit. This drum set has been around for some time now. In fact, Roland has also provided upscale kits which include the Roland TD12 and the big daddy of them all, the Roland TD20. But the TD9 has been very popular among beginner and intermediate drummers.
Roland Standards
Simply put, the Roland kits are solid performers.Drummers of all skill levels demand reliability, realistic acoustic sound and dependability in their electronic drum sets and once again Roland has risen to the challenge. The TD9 V-Drum is excetional because it delivers all of this and provides convenience, portability and versatility all at the same time.
So it does'nt matter if you're a rocker who likes to gig, or just want a great kit you can practice with in the basement, you will find what you need in this kit.
What exactly is an electronic drum set
An electronic drum set looks just like an acoustic kit. The only difference is that an electronic kit uses pads and cymbals which are hooked into an electronic drum module. The TD9 Drum Module sythesizes the drum strokes through sensors known as triggers, and outputs the sound to your speakers or headphones. The drum module allows you to assign specific sounds to each pad on the kit. Roland is a leader in breakthrough engineering when it comes to this type of technology.
A little Roland history
Roland is a name you know. They have been tried and tested and a pioneer within the electronic drum set market. They were around back in the day right after Simmons first arrived on the scene with their first kits. The TD-9 is pretty much a mid-level kit and it's development is the direct result of consumer needs and technology. This set is perfect for beginners to intermediate drummers who are in need of a quality kit with an acoustic sound and feel. In fact, many advanced drummers use the TD9 SX drum set as a convient alternative practice set.
The Brain
The Roland TD9 Drum Module is the heart of the electronic drum kit and is sometimes referred to as the "brain". The modulue is the main piece of the kit and without it the thing just wouldn't work. The module has 50 pre-set drum kits and over 500 sounds which you can assign to the pads and cymblals.
The module can accomodate up to twelve devices for pads and cymbals so you can customize your kit any way you want to. This gives you the ability to build a kit all the way up to 12 pieces
The Set
The kit itself has all the elements of a regular acoustic kit, the only difference of course is that its all electronic. The pads and cymbals are constructed of a mesh material which imitates the touch and feel of an acoustic set. A lot of drummers actually prefer the feel and bounce of a mesh head over traditional drum heads.
If you're in the market for a quality mid level electronic drum set the Roland TD9 SX was built with the serious drummer in mind. It has everything a beginner would need and enough to satisfy the advanced drummer too. So what are some of the many benefits to owning an electronic set?
- Convenience
- Portability
- Adapability
- Expansion
- Privacy
I've been a drummer for over 30 years and played both acoustic and electronic kits. The Roland electronic kits have really set the standard these days for whats acceptable for drummers of all levels. These kits get the job done.
