Different Colored Ferrets
Ferrets are cute animals that make wonderful pets. These tiny creatures can be distinguished on the basis of their different colors. In fact colors and patterns of color are a major difference between them. Ferret colors are primarily white or brown with varied shades of the same. In very broad terms all the brown ones can be termed as the sable ferrets while the white ones are the albino ferrets. If you wish to look at the ferret's color look at the 'guardhair' that is a longish hair on the basic coat. The basic fur is also referred to as the 'undercoat'.
An important point to remember is that Ferret color is not a determinant of the personality of the animal. There is a myth that albino ferrets are livelier but this is far from the truth. Brown ferrets

White Ferrets
These are basically albino ferrets that are white or colorless actually, since their white color is attributable to the lack of pigmentation. Due to their white coat, they are unique red or pink colored eyes. However some of them may have dark colored eyes also. They have a special name called DEW ferrets.
