Admiring The Origin Of Music And The Music Festivals
Long before any music festival became part of the American culture; primitive people have already lived with music. In the ancient time, people use rocks, wood sticks, tree trunks, mammoth bones and other local materials to create sounds. As a matter of fact, archeologists discovered that the first musical instrument created was a flute made of a bone. The beats, rhythms and chants were very random as they were just created out of people’s feelings.
As time has evolved, lyrics were created, contemporary cadences and music genres were created, which now being celebrated as music festivals. Festivals were also present in middle ages in the form of competitions. The first music festival known was during the Pythian Games in Apollo, Delphi. In the Renaissance period, appreciation of music flourished under notable composers such as Monteverdi, Byrd and more.
Although every country has its own music festival, the United States hold the most number of music festivals, as it celebrates almost all genres of music. Each festival lasts for a few days, even weeks. The New Orleans Jazz Festival is one example of a music festival for a specific genre. The celebration features classic and modern Jazz music and player.
The music festival is famous across the United States, and is celebrate in almost all regions or states in America.The Big Gig is the famous Summerfest in the United States that is celebrated every end of June till the early weeks of July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event is is usually dotted with famous singers and bands of different genres.
In the summerfest, live musical acts and performances are organized. Big time music figures like Led Zeppelin, Up with People, Nine Inch Nails, Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blige and many more, come perform and take part of the event. Because of this, throngs of visitors come to see the event. Later on the Guinness Book of Records declared the summer festival as the World’s Largest Music Festival.
